Q. I'm too busy to complete another form, what difference will this one make?
A. We understand that your time is precious, however the purpose of benchmarking is to ensure that you are dedicating this time to the right areas of your business. The process of collecting, validating and inputting the necessary data is estimated to take 5 hours working time and is then followed by the interpretation of the results and a strategic action planning phase. The more time put into this exercise, as a whole, the more you will get out of it. Specifically, independent research shows that benchmarking has helped companies to:
  • improve productivity
  • improve competitiveness
  • overcome competitive threats
  • address growth issues
  • gain a complete picture of the business
  • open minds to new opportunities
  • attract funding
  • develop an improvement plan
  • improve relationships with customers

Q. How can I be assured that the results of a benchmark will be reliable?
A. The Performance Review is an objective process. The quality of information comes partly from the accuracy and completeness of data entered by practitioners, whom have been trained in the use of the system and who are experienced in supporting businesses. Additionally, the system itself analyses data entered to ensure that it is reasonable and rejects data that is known to be inaccurate. Furthermore, before performing comparisons, data is removed from the chosen sample that may distort results.
